Refund Policy

Effective date: April 28, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and billing adjustments work for Lara subscription plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this policy.

1. Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial of Plus features. No payment information is required to start the trial. If you do not subscribe to a paid plan before the trial ends, your account simply reverts to the Free tier. You will never be charged without explicitly subscribing.

All prices are in USD. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Paddle (Merchant of Record), who handles tax, billing, and compliance on our behalf.

3. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by sending "upgrade" to Lara and following the management link, or by contacting us at support@larabot.co.

When you cancel:

  • You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • Your account reverts to the Free tier when the billing period ends
  • Your data is not deleted — you keep all your expense history, budgets, and goals
  • You can re-subscribe at any time

4. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with Lara. If you're not happy with the service, we'll work with you to make it right.

4.1 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (EU/UK Consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of your first subscription payment, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (UK) and Directive 2011/83/EU. During this period, you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund.

To exercise this right, contact us at support@larabot.co within 14 days of your first payment. We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving your request.

4.2 All Users — 14-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Regardless of your location, if you subscribed to a paid plan and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. No questions asked. Contact us at support@larabot.co.

4.3 After 14 Days

After the initial 14-day window, we generally do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. However, we review refund requests on a case-by-case basis and may issue refunds in the following situations:

  • Service outage: If Lara was unavailable for an extended period (more than 48 consecutive hours) during your billing cycle
  • Billing error: If you were charged incorrectly or charged after cancelling
  • Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period

4.4 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@larabot.co with:

  • The phone number associated with your Lara account
  • The date of the charge
  • The reason for your refund request

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days.

4.5 Refund Method

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

5. Plan Downgrades

If you downgrade from Pro to Plus, or from a paid plan to Free:

  • The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You are not charged for the new (lower) plan until the next billing cycle
  • No refund is issued for the remaining time on the higher plan — you continue to enjoy those features until the period ends

6. Plan Upgrades

If you upgrade from Plus to Pro mid-cycle, you will be charged the full Pro price ($9.99) for the next billing period. The upgrade takes effect immediately.

7. Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We are happy to resolve billing issues directly and promptly. Unwarranted chargebacks may result in suspension of your account.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers via WhatsApp at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
